Don Jorgensen Receives President’s Volunteer Service Award from President Joe Biden
August 2022: The ShelterBox Disaster Relief group has honored retired Marana businessman Don Jorgensen for his volunteer work.
An award medallion and a letter signed by the President were presented to Jorgensen as part of the White House’s annual President’s Volunteer Service Award. People of all ages who contribute at least 100 hours of volunteer work are eligible to receive this award from the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation.
He was the only Arizonan among 25 ShelterBox USA volunteers to receive the honor.
