About Don

Dr. Don Jorgensen, Ph.D. is founder of Jorgensen Healthcare Associates and Human Factor Consulting. Don has been privileged to work with thousands of business and government leaders, professionals, and veterans across the globe for over three decades. He has established successful private and non-profit addiction treatment, behavioral health, and employee assistance organizations.  

As a speaker and consultant Don is known for his humor and engaging, straight-forward style. Don has been interviewed by media in the US, Europe, and Asia on alcohol & drug issues, leadership, employee assistance programs and conflict management.

Don has published articles and books on such topics as organizational relevance, managing change, workplace and family addiction, and global travel. His “EAP Buyers Guide” has been adopted for use worldwide. Don has received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the international Employee Assistance Professionals Association, and Don has twice been honored with the “President’s Volunteer Service Award” from the White House in recognition of his work on behalf of Shelterbox USA, a global disaster relief organization.

On a personal note, Don has visited all 7 continents and over 45 countries at last count. He and his wife Kathy continue to work on humanitarian projects worldwide. Don is also a cancer survivor, a runner, and a martial arts practitioner.
